We’re a company that deals with company spending: we think that all employees should be trusted to spend company money.

We do this through smart payment cards for companies: use your card, snap a picture of the receipt, and you’re done. No more out of pocket expenses – no more boring expense reports. Our beautiful app makes it easy and transparent for management and finance teams to see what’s being spent in real-time while taking the load of handling company spending off the finance team. Instead, companies who use Pleo delegate spending to all employees across the company.

It’s an exciting time for us: we are in a very strong position as in our latest investment round we raised over €50M in Series B to grow. We have offices in Copenhagen, London, Stockholm, Berlin, and Madrid – and you’d be working out of our amazing HQ in front of the lakes in Copenhagen.


The main objective for this role is to build upon our already successful momentum in Danish, and more importantly: take it to the next level of growth

For this, you’ll need to use your management experience for setting and executing sales strategies, while also being passionate about developing our people and team to reach their full potential. And the cherry on the lagkage: you don’t shy away from picking up the phone and leading by example in sales when needed!

To be successful, we think that you will need to be very familiar with the Danish B2B market. More specifically, you have knowledge about how things go down in Denmark: how buyers want to buy, who to target and how, what channels to double down on, what bets to take, and the general state of B2B SaaS sales in Denmark in 2020.

This way, not only would you be able to continue our current ways of doing things that are working, you would be able to bring new ideas of how to improve our sales results in Denmark.

The B2B SaaS space is pretty specific from a go-to-market and sales training perspective. We see having a background in SaaS sales as a requirement to succeed in this role (but hey, we’re also prepared to be surprised if you can adapt and learn fast to understand the ways to succeed in this!).


The must-haves

  • Experience managing people and teams
  • Experience in hiring, coaching, and developing people
  • Have experience with outbound sales
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A proven track record in sales and sales management
  • High levels of EQ and empathy
  • An entrepreneurial flair: be it by founding a company before or being involved in some way – through MeetUps, conferences, or startups for instance
  • Deep understanding of the Danish market
  • Fluent Danish language skills
  • …as well as being fluent in English (our company language)
  • Confidence in being the face of Sales for Pleo in Denmark


You’ll stand out if you

  • Have worked in an international setting or lived and worked in other markets aside from Denmark
  • Relevant experience other than Sales (i.e CS or Marketing)
  • Get on the stage and share your knowledge with your community
  • Have set clear career progression paths for team members in the past, and seen them develop steeply into new roles
  • Have a strong network
